About two thousand years ago on the vast lands of Europe and Asia almost at the same time four great ancient empires of the ancient world appeared - Roman, Parthian, Kushan and China. Favourable political situation contributed to the development of international trade.

Kingdoms, located between Amudarya and Sirdarya rivers, served as transmitters of ideas, traditions, philosophy of different peoples and countries. Inhabitans of Central Asia travelled with caravans to China, India, Minor Asia and Egypt.

From the 2nd century B.C. till the16th century A.D. the orderly system of roads was completed, included land and sea itineraries under the name of “The Great Silk Road” because silk was the main and the most expensive commodity among the goods on the first transcontinental route in the history of mankind.

Silk was the binding thread between the two worlds - the Orient and the West.

The region known loosely as Central Asia is a vast area of deserts, steppes and knotted mountain ranges. It includes Kazakhstan, Kyrghystan, Tadjikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Every republic is a country of the ancient history and culture, where every type of tradition lives in harmony with the modern world.

You have a good opportunity to see, to amaze and to keep in your minds and hearts the unforgettable days in Central Asia.

With the help of “Orient Voyages” Agency you can visit every country chosen by you and according to your wishes and interests we can offer any route.

One should know that the flourishing trade roads have crossed more than 30 big cities and small towns, among them the world-known ancient cities – Khiva, Bukhara, Shakhrisabz and, of course, Samarkand - the former capital of the great Temur`s empire. These are the words that the famous worrier-ruler said about his capital: “Let one who doubts our power look upon our structures”.
